Refuge in South Tyrol with shared rooms, dormitory and restaurant
In the Re Alberto 1° refuge we pay special attention to the kitchen because we indulge our guests with traditional Ladin and Tyrolean dishes
“ An experienced mountaineer knows how important is to see from far away the shape of a refuge, the refuge planned to be the “stopping place” of his excursion. It means to feel satisfied to be almost there, to foretaste a thirst-quenching drinking, a hot plate, a glass of wine and to rest in a rustic high altitude bed, to foretaste in your heart the pleasure of a kind welcome, of a simple smile from who knows the weariness of the ascent, from who knows what it means to love alpinism!”

The refuge has medium size rooms (3-4 beds) and big rooms (6-10 beds), plus a dormitory with 16 beds.
Our bunk beds, recently renovated, have pillows, down and woollen blankets.
Please consider the duty to have an own linen sleeping bag in orther to preserve basic higienical rules.
The refuge offers a shared bathroom with a coin-operated hot water shower.
The restaurant and the kitchen are “the heart” of our refuge and we care about it in a special way.
Valeria, the owner, decided to look after the kitchen herself, and she loves to prepare typical dishes both from the Ladin and Italian cuisine, with a special attention on using genuine and local ingredients. Our menu offers every day handmade tasty dumplings and polenta, as well as soups or pasta, and tradicional desserts as apple-strudel, kaiserschmarren, carrot cake and linzer torte.
In order to satisfy all our guests, the kitchen is always opened, also in the afternoon, with a reduced menu.
